Requires optometry license applicants to submit proof to the Department of Health meeting specified requirements instead of requiring the department to examine each applicant.

Applicants must pass the licensure examination within 3 years before or after submitting their application to obtain licensure and certification to administer ocular pharmaceutical agents.

Board of Optometry must approve a licensure examination covering appropriate subjects including state laws, rules, and general and ocular pharmacology with emphasis on use and side effects of ocular pharmaceutical agents.

Board may offer a practical examination in addition to a written examination and may substitute a national examination as part or all of the examination.
