Requires health insurance policies in Florida to make available coverage for prescription and nonprescription enteral formulas for home use prescribed by licensed physicians as medically necessary for treating inherited metabolic diseases and malabsorption from congenital or neonatal defects.

Coverage for amino acid and organic acid metabolism disorders must include modified low-protein food products, limited to $2,500 annually per insured individual through age 24.

Mandates the state group insurance program provide coverage for enteral formulas and amino acid-based elemental formulas for treating eosinophilic disorders, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome, and specified inherited metabolic diseases, with a $20,000 annual limit per insured individual.

State group insurance program coverage expires December 31, 2021.

Effective January 1, 2019.
