Department of Legal Affairs shall develop human trafficking awareness campaigns targeting children and other vulnerable populations, subject to legislative appropriations.

Awareness campaigns shall include information on trafficker methods, warning signs of trafficking, and inappropriate behaviors requiring reporting.

Department shall develop and operate a toll-free hotline to receive reports of potential human trafficking incidents.

All credible reports received through the hotline shall be promptly forwarded to appropriate law enforcement agencies for investigation and disposition.

Effective date is July 1, 2018.
