Creates section 456.064 of Florida Statutes to define and regulate conversion therapy practices in the state.

Defines "conversion therapy" as any practice or treatment intended to change sexual orientation, behavior, gender identity, or gender expression, or to reduce attraction to same-gender individuals.

Prohibits licensed medical practitioners, osteopathic physicians, psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors from practicing conversion therapy on individuals under 18 years of age.

Establishes that licensed professionals who practice, perform, or attempt conversion therapy on minors engage in unprofessional conduct subject to disciplinary proceedings and board action.

Exempts professional counseling that supports gender transition or provides acceptance and identity exploration without the goal of changing sexual orientation or gender identity.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
