Creates section 800.10, Florida Statutes to prohibit authority figures employed by, volunteering at, or under contract with schools from soliciting or engaging in sexual conduct, romantic relationships, or lewd conduct with students.

Defines "authority figure" as a person 18 years or older working at schools including school resource officers, and "student" as a person enrolled at a school.

Defines "school" to include public and private schools, voluntary prekindergarten programs, early learning programs, the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, and Florida Virtual School, but excludes facilities dedicated exclusively to adult education.

Establishes a felony of the second degree for violations, punishable under sections 775.082, 775.083, or 775.084.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
