Requires health insurance policies providing family coverage to include benefits for hearing aids prescribed, fitted, and dispensed by licensed audiologists for children from birth through 21 years of age.

Mandates minimum coverage of $3,500 per ear within each 24-month period.

Allows a new 24-month coverage period with full benefits if a child experiences significant unexpected hearing changes or medical conditions requiring hearing aid replacement before the existing period expires.

Insureds remain responsible for any costs exceeding their policy's coverage amount.

Applies to policies issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2019.
