Provides cancer diagnosis benefits to full-time firefighters employed for at least 5 continuous years who have not used tobacco products for 5 years and have not worked in higher-risk positions during that period.

Covers cancer treatment at no cost to firefighter (zero deductible, copayment, or coinsurance) through employer-sponsored health plan and provides one-time $25,000 cash payout upon initial cancer diagnosis.

Requires employers to treat cancer diagnosis as a line-of-duty injury for leave and retention policies; extends benefits to former employees for 10 years following employment termination.

Mandates employers provide disability retirement benefits of at least 42 percent annual salary for firefighters unable to work due to cancer, and death benefits of at least 42 percent annual salary to beneficiaries for 10 years if firefighter dies from cancer.

Requires Division of State Fire Marshal to adopt rules establishing cancer prevention best practices for personal protective equipment, decontamination, apparatus, and fire stations; all benefit costs must be borne solely by employers.
