Requires health insurance policies covering prescription eye drops for chronic eye diseases or conditions to cover refills dispensed between the 24th-72nd day after initial dispensing, depending on supply length (30-day, 60-day, or 90-day supplies).

Refills must not exceed quantities authorized in the original prescription and are subject to the same deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and cost-sharing as other prescription drug benefits.

Applies coverage requirements to group health insurance, blanket health insurance, and franchise health insurance policies.

Extends the same prescription eye drop refill coverage requirements to health maintenance contracts.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
