Abrogates the scheduled October 1, 2018 repeal of section 944.802, Florida Statutes, allowing the direct-support organization provisions to remain permanently in effect.

Changes language in the definition of direct-support organization from "which is a corporation" to "that is a corporation" and removes "the provisions of" before chapter 617 reference.

Modifies subsection (2)(c) to allow the Department of Corrections discretionary authority to deny facility use ("may not permit") rather than mandatory denial ("shall not permit") for organizations that do not provide equal membership and employment opportunities.

Removes a comma after "direct support organization" in subsection (2)(a) and changes "the provisions in" to "this section."

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
