Creates the Care for Retired Law Enforcement Dogs Program within the Department of Law Enforcement to provide veterinary care funding for retired law enforcement dogs.

Department must contract with a nonprofit organization meeting specific criteria including 5+ years of tax-exempt status and dedication to protecting retired law enforcement dogs.

Reimburses former handlers or adopters up to $1,500 annually per dog for veterinary care upon submission of agency verification and veterinarian invoices; unused annual funds do not carry over.

Nonprofit may use up to 10 percent of appropriated funds for administrative expenses including salaries and benefits.

Appropriates $300,000 in recurring General Revenue Fund dollars beginning fiscal year 2018-2019 to implement and administer the program.
