Requires each school district to provide instruction in CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use to all students.

Students must study and practice CPR psychomotor skills at least once before graduating from high school as part of physical education or another required curriculum.

Instruction must be based on programs established by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or another nationally recognized program using current evidence-based emergency cardiovascular care guidelines.

Students with disabilities as defined in section 1007.02, F.S., are exempt from these requirements.

Effective July 1, 2018.
