Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission may establish by rule the expiration timeframe and specific design for vessel safety inspection decals.

Safety inspection decals must be valid for a minimum of 1 calendar year and maximum of 5 years.

All decals issued on or before December 31, 2018, are no longer valid after that date.

Safety inspection decals must be displayed within 6 inches of the vessel's registration decal, or above the waterline on the forward port side for nonmotorized unregistered vessels.

Effective date: January 1, 2019.
