Authorizes the Department of Children and Families to align public assistance eligibility requirements with federal food and medical assistance policies to simplify administration, provided such changes do not increase income or resource eligibility standards.

Establishes a $5,000 resource limit for households receiving food assistance, subject to federal approval, and requires legislative authorization before the department can seek waivers that expand resource eligibility beyond this limit.

Requires asset verification for food assistance program eligibility upon federal approval of the resource standards in the bill.

Mandates CareerSource Florida, Inc., to contract with a vendor by October 31, 2018, to develop a pilot program serving Temporary Cash Assistance Program participants with significant barriers to employment, with at least three local workforce boards selected to conduct the pilot program.

Appropriates $3,342,525 in nonrecurring funds to the Department of Children and Families for asset verification implementation and $500,000 to the Department of Economic Opportunity for CareerSource Florida, Inc., to develop and oversee the pilot program.
