Creates section 1002.24 of Florida Statutes requiring the Department of Education to distribute HPV information to parents or guardians of students entering grade 6, beginning in the 2018-2019 school year.

Required information must include the connection between HPV and cervical cancer, other cancers and diseases, vaccine availability to prevent HPV infection, and CDC recommendations that vaccination be completed before age 12.

Department of Health must approve all HPV information materials before distribution.

Effective date is July 1, 2018.
