Exempts persons engaged in, traveling to, or returning from lawful outdoor activities from weapons carrying restrictions, including fishing, hunting, hiking, bicycling, boating, horseback riding, rock climbing, nature photography, and picnicking.

Allows persons traveling to or from motor vehicles, residences, dwellings, hotels, motor homes, recreational vehicles, or other places where firearms may be lawfully possessed to carry weapons without restriction.

Updates cross-references in s. 27.53 to conform with the new paragraph designations created by shifting existing provisions (i) through (p) to (k) through (r).

Applies exemptions to public defender and criminal conflict regional counsel investigators carrying concealed weapons while performing official duties.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
