Prohibits legislators and statewide elected officers from personally representing clients for compensation before any state government body or agency (except judicial tribunals and settlement negotiations) for 6 years after leaving office.

Prohibits legislators from representing clients for compensation before any state agency during their term of office (except judicial tribunals and settlement negotiations).

Restricts appointed state officers from personally representing clients for compensation before the specific government body or agency where they served for 2 years after leaving office.

Eliminates the prior restriction that prevented former legislators from acting as lobbyists before executive branch agencies for 2 years post-service.

Applies retroactively to individuals who were legislators or statewide elected officers at any time after November 8, 2016, with an effective date of July 1, 2018.
