Creates a public records exemption for personal identifying information of adults who successfully complete a prearrest diversion program

Exemption does not apply to adults who fail to complete the prearrest diversion program

Applies to information held by law enforcement agencies, program services providers, circuit court clerks, and entities operating the program, retroactively to information held before, on, or after the effective date

Exemption subject to Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall automatically repeal on October 2, 2023, unless reenacted by the Legislature

Legislature finds public necessity for the exemption to allow participants to avoid arrest records and to prevent negative consequences that would undermine the purpose of diversion programs
