Creates s. 394.464, F.S., to exempt mental health treatment petitions, court orders, and related records from public records disclosure under state law and Florida Constitution.

Permits disclosure of confidential records to petitioner, respondent, their attorneys, guardians, treating practitioners, Department of Children and Families, Department of Corrections, and persons authorized by court order upon finding good cause.

Prohibits court clerks from publishing personal identifying information of individuals seeking mental health treatment on court dockets or publicly accessible files.

Requires all entities receiving confidential records to maintain them as exempt from public disclosure.

Applies retroactively to all documents filed before, on, or after July 1, 2018, and sunsets on October 2, 2023, unless reenacted by the Legislature.
