Recognizes February 27, 2018, as "Florida National Guard Day" in honor of the Florida National Guard's contributions and readiness.

Acknowledges the Florida National Guard traces its lineage back to 1565 in Saint Augustine, making it the oldest militia in the nation.

Notes the Florida National Guard currently has approximately 11,500 soldiers and airmen serving the state and nation.

Recognizes more than 7,500 Florida National Guard members activated for Hurricane Irma response, establishing 350+ shelters and distributing 6 million liters of water and nearly 5 million meals.

Honors over 20,000 Florida National Guard members who served on federal active duty since September 11, 2001, in operations including Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, and ongoing global operations.
