Removes the October 2, 2018 sunset expiration date from section 943.0583(10), making the exemption for expunged criminal history records retained by the Department of Law Enforcement permanent instead of subject to repeal.

Allows expunged criminal history records kept by the department to remain confidential and exempt from public records requirements, but permits access by criminal justice agencies and firearm eligibility determination agencies.

Maintains existing provisions allowing human trafficking victims to petition for expunction of criminal records related to offenses committed while being trafficked, without regard to arrest disposition.

Retains restrictions on disclosure of criminal intelligence information that could reveal the identity of human trafficking victims whose records have been expunged.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
