Amends the public records exemption for proprietary confidential business information held by local government electric utilities under Florida Statutes section 119.0713.

Narrows the definition of "proprietary confidential business information" by removing "but is not limited to" language and specifying that trade secrets are defined by section 688.002.

Removes the scheduled repeal of the exemption that was previously set to expire on October 2, 2018 under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Maintains confidentiality protections for information related to due diligence reviews of electric projects and renewable energy initiatives for 1 year after the review concludes and utility makes participation decision.

Takes effect October 1, 2018.
