Reduces clinical experience requirement for marriage and family therapists from 3 years to 2 years and reduces university-sponsored supervised clinical practicum hours for mental health counselors from 1,000 to 700 hours

Creates formal licensure pathway for certified master social workers (previously only certification), requiring 2 years of experience instead of 3 years

Requires all licensees, provisional licensees, and registered interns to display professional titles on social media and promotional materials in addition to traditional signage

Beginning July 1, 2025, mental health counselor applicants must graduate from programs accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs

Repeals HIV/AIDS instruction requirements for licensure and removes continuing education exemption for first-renewal certified master social workers
