Establishes the Maternal Mortality Prevention Task Force adjunct to the Florida Department of Health, chaired by the State Surgeon General, to evaluate methods for reducing preventable maternal deaths in the state

Requires the task force to examine pregnancy-related death circumstances, health care provider training requirements, patient education, adverse incident reporting, obstetric emergency protocols, and racial/ethnic disparities in maternal health outcomes

Task force membership includes legislators (2 Senate, 2 House), physicians practicing obstetrics/gynecology/family medicine, nurses with labor and delivery experience, licensed midwives, mental health professionals, and hospital representatives

Report of findings and recommendations due to the Governor and Legislature by December 1, 2020

Task force expires June 30, 2021
