Florida College System institutions in hurricane-impacted counties that experience enrollment declines exceeding 10 percent may waive out-of-state tuition fees to recruit students for a 3-year period, beginning 180 days after the hurricane impact date

Students receiving the waiver remain eligible for up to 110 percent of required credit hours for their degree or certificate program, but may not disenroll for more than one semester

Institutions must report annually to the State Board of Education on the number and value of all fee waivers granted under this provision

Out-of-state students enrolled under these fee waivers are excluded from official enrollment totals used by the Education Estimating Conference on Florida College System Enrollment
