Prohibits Florida charter schools from operating as or being operated by for-profit corporations, for-profit educational management organizations, or for-profit charter management organizations.

Defines "operate as, or be operated by" to include for-profit provision of services such as board member nomination/removal, employment decisions, day-to-day management, budget approval, curriculum development, funding, construction services, and real estate transactions.

Requires charter schools to obtain governing body approval at a publicly noticed meeting before services are provided to the school.

Prohibits charter schools from using subcontracts to circumvent the ban on for-profit operators.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
