CS/HB 1423 Summary

• Amends the Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board composition, which consists of 15 members appointed by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners.

• Revises residency requirements to state that all board members must be residents of Pinellas County, except for governmental building officials.

• Removes the previous residency requirement that applied specifically to the three building officials (North county, South county, and Beach Community officials), replacing it with a general requirement that all members be county residents with the stated exception.

• The act takes effect on July 1, 2019.
