Authorizes Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners to pay Ruth Arizpe $312,546.56 for injuries sustained on February 5, 2015, when a Palm Tran bus driver abruptly accelerated while she was boarding, causing her to fall on a wet floor.

Arizpe suffered a 3-inch laceration on her right knee requiring staples and sutures, along with an extruded herniation impinging on her S1 nerve root and tendonitis in her right knee, requiring extensive physical therapy and injections.

The total judgment against Palm Beach County was $512,546.56; the county has already paid $200,000 under statutory liability limits, with this bill appropriating the remaining $312,546.56.

Establishes that total compensation (including the $200,000 already paid) constitutes sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from this incident.

Caps attorney fees related to this claim at 25 percent of the amount awarded under the act.
