Removes the scheduled October 2, 2019 repeal date for exemptions protecting trade secrets used in designing hurricane or flood loss models from public records and public meetings disclosure requirements.

Maintains confidentiality of trade secrets provided by private companies to the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology, the Office of Insurance Regulation, or an appointed consumer advocate.

Requires closed meetings discussing these trade secrets to be recorded in their entirety with no off-the-record portions.

Makes meeting recordings themselves exempt from public records disclosure and public meetings requirements.

Takes effect October 1, 2019.
