Exempts theme parks, entertainment complexes, zoos, museums, aquariums, and licensed public food service and lodging establishments from standard lost or abandoned property procedures if they elect to follow the new alternative process

Requires lost or abandoned property found at these facilities to be delivered to the owner/operator, who must record the date the property was found

Allows disposal or donation of unclaimed property to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization after 30 days (or longer at the facility's discretion), but prohibits the facility from selling the property

Permits rightful owners to reclaim their property at any time before disposal or donation occurs

Requires charitable organizations receiving unsecured electronic devices to make reasonable efforts to delete all personal data before selling or disposing of the device
