Creates alternative pathways to a standard high school diploma beginning with the 2019-2020 school year for students who complete minimum course credit requirements but have not passed the grade 10 ELA assessment or Algebra I EOC assessment

Establishes two alternative pathway options: (1) obtaining an industry-recognized credential approved by the State Board of Education plus a combined score of at least 13 points on ACT WorkKeys assessments in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information; or (2) demonstrating mastery through a portfolio with quantifiable evidence

Requires students to provide verified documentation of alternative pathway completion, with verification by the student's principal

Mandates district school boards to incorporate alternative graduation pathways into their student progression plans required under s. 1008.25
