Establishes the Teacher Scholarship Program within the Department of Education to encourage academically excellent students to pursue teaching careers

Provides scholarships of up to $5,000 per semester ($10,000 per year) for eligible upper-division undergraduates for 2-3 years and graduate students for up to 2 years in approved teacher preparation programs

Requires students to have SAT scores at the 80th percentile or concordant ACT score and maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA to qualify

Awards a one-time $10,000 stipend to scholarship recipients who complete their degree and their first year of employment as a classroom teacher at a Florida public school

Postsecondary institutions must certify eligible students to the department by September 1 each year and report any recipients who disenroll from teacher education programs
