Requires public schools to include information about the dangers and signs of human trafficking in comprehensive health education curriculum for grades 7-12.

Human trafficking education must cover warning signs of trafficking, terms used by traffickers, red flags indicating malicious intent, popular trafficker websites, and resources for students seeking help.

Allows students to opt out of human trafficking education by providing schools with a written note from their parent.

Directs the Department of Legal Affairs to develop awareness campaigns about human trafficking, particularly targeting children and vulnerable populations, subject to legislative appropriations.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
