Allows voting members of regional planning councils covering three or more counties to participate remotely via telephone, videoconferencing, or similar real-time electronic communication to count toward quorum requirements.

Remote participation is only permitted when publicly broadcast at the meeting location and at least one-third of voting members are physically present.

Members must provide oral, written, or electronic notice of intent to appear remotely at least 24 hours before the scheduled meeting.

Amends section 120.525 of Florida Statutes regarding meetings, hearings, and workshops.

Effective July 1, 2019.
