Authorizes churches, synagogues, and other religious institutions to allow concealed weapons or concealed firearms licensees to carry firearms on their property for safety, security, personal protection, or other lawful purposes.

Permits private schools and religious schools to designate a person to carry a firearm on school property, provided the governing board or body creates policies and procedures for the designee to follow.

Amends Florida Statute 790.06 to change language from "shall not be prohibited" to "may not be prohibited" regarding licensed individuals carrying or storing firearms in vehicles for lawful purposes.

Maintains existing restrictions on firearm carrying in other locations including courthouses, schools where not designated, airports, and establishments serving alcohol.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
