Out-of-state qualified patient identification cards or caregiver identification cards issued by another state, U.S. territory, or District of Columbia have the same legal force as Florida's medical marijuana registry identification cards.

The Department of Health must enter physician certifications from out-of-state physicians into Florida's medical marijuana use registry for nonresident qualified patients and caregivers.

Accepted physician certifications must be from physicians licensed in the patient's home jurisdiction who have physically examined the patient and specify the amount and type of marijuana or marijuana delivery device recommended for medical use.

Nonresident patients and caregivers can receive medical marijuana in Florida based on their home state's qualifying identification without obtaining a separate Florida registry card.
