Authorizes the Florida Building Commission to adopt triennial amendments to the Florida Building Code without requiring a finding that amendments are needed to accommodate specific state needs.

Requires the commission to review and update the Florida Building Code every 3 years based on the International Building Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Existing Building Code, International Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, International Residential Code, and National Electrical Code.

Mandates adoption of code updates necessary to maintain eligibility for federal funding and discounts from the National Flood Insurance Program, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Allows the commission to adopt technical amendments from identified codes to accommodate specific state needs, with amendments clearly marked in printed versions of the Florida Building Code.

Takes effect January 1, 2020.
