Defines "associated condition" as a symptom or side effect of cancer or its treatment that, in a health care provider's judgment, would further jeopardize a patient's health if left untreated.

Prohibits insurers from excluding cancer drug coverage based on lack of FDA approval if the drug is recognized in a standard reference compendium or recommended in medical literature.

Prohibits insurers from requiring that patients fail to respond to a different drug before covering a prescribed drug for stage 4 metastatic cancer and its associated conditions.

Requires coverage for medically necessary services associated with drug administration for any drug required by the bill.

Takes effect January 1, 2021.
