Prohibits the import, export, and sale of shark fins statewide, with limited exceptions for taxidermied fins obtained on land and used for display purposes

Expands existing prohibition on possession of separated shark fins in Florida waters to include all import, export, and sale activities

Establishes penalties ranging from second-degree misdemeanor with $4,500 fine and 180-day license suspension for first violation to first-degree misdemeanor with $9,500 fine and permanent license revocation for third and subsequent violations

Grants temporary exemption to commercial fishermen holding valid federal shark fishing permits as of January 1, 2020, and seafood dealers with legally landed and processed shark products until January 1, 2025

Takes effect October 1, 2020
