Authorizes employers and workers' compensation carriers to use licensed nurse registries pursuant to section 400.506 for placement of authorized compensable attendant care services.

Maintains existing requirements that attendant care be prescribed in writing by a physician and specify time periods, level of care, and type of assistance required.

Retains existing compensation structures for nonprofessional attendant care provided by family members, including hourly valuations based on employment status and a maximum of 12 hours per day compensation.

Subjects carriers to penalties under section 440.525 for failure to timely comply with attendant care requirements.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
