District school boards may oversee and manage charter school employment of school resource officers and school safety officers to ensure compliance with state law and best practices

District school boards may establish best practices for charter school employment of these officers within their district

If a district school board denies a charter school access to any safe-school officer options, the district must assign an officer to the charter school, with the charter school's cost share limited to its safe school allocation funds
