Raises the definition of "minor" from under 16 to under 18 years of age for firearm storage requirements

Requires firearms to be stored in a securely locked box/container or secured with a firearm locking mechanism when a minor is likely to gain access; removes the option of storing in a "location which a reasonable person would believe to be secure"

Adults who store loaded firearms within reach of a minor commit a third-degree felony if the minor uses it to inflict injury or death; minors who do the same commit a second-degree misdemeanor

Firearm sellers must provide purchasers with a basic firearm safety brochure, offer to demonstrate firearm locking mechanisms, and post information about local voluntary firearm safety programs
