Students who receive out-of-state fee waivers under s. 1009.26(12) would become eligible for state financial aid under part III, removing the previous prohibition on such aid

Students cannot be denied resident classification for state financial aid purposes based solely on immigration status if they have met the conditions for an out-of-state fee waiver

Eligible institutions include state universities, Florida College System institutions, nursing diploma schools, accredited colleges/universities, career centers, and accredited private career institutions

One year of Florida residency (for purposes other than education) remains required for tuition assistance grants under various program sections
