Creates the Care for Retired Law Enforcement Dogs Program within the Department of Law Enforcement to fund veterinary care for dogs that previously served Florida law enforcement agencies in tasks such as tracking, drug detection, and search and rescue

Requires the department to contract with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation with at least 5 years of tax-exempt status to administer the program through a competitive grant process

Caps veterinary care reimbursements at $1,500 per dog annually, with no rollover of unused funds to future years and no reimbursement if annual program funds are depleted

Appropriates $300,000 in recurring annual funds from the General Revenue Fund starting in fiscal year 2020-2021, with up to 10% available for the nonprofit's administrative expenses

Requires former handlers or adopters to submit documentation from the law enforcement agency verifying the dog's service and a paid veterinary invoice to receive reimbursement
