Licensed firearm importers, manufacturers, and dealers must secure all firearms on business premises when closed using one of three methods: hardened steel rod/cable (at least 1/8 inch diameter) through the trigger guard, a locked fireproof safe or vault, or a hardened impact-resistant locked cabinet

Steel rod or cable security method requires a hardened steel lock with shackle that is protected from bolt cutters, with anchoring to prevent firearm removal

Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services agents may inspect business premises subject to these requirements at all reasonable hours

Violations are noncriminal infractions punishable under Florida Statute 775.083
