Courts may offer defendants in pretrial or postadjudicatory treatment-based drug court programs the choice between electronic or written verification of participation in self-help groups and support activities

Amends section 397.334, Florida Statutes, by adding a new subsection (6) and renumbering existing subsections (6) through (10) as (7) through (11)

Updates terminology in licensure renewal requirements from "inmate" to "offender" for substance abuse programs operated by or under exclusive contract with jails or the Department of Corrections

Substance abuse programs operated by jails or the Department of Corrections remain exempt from accreditation requirements for licensure renewal
