Sponsors must accept charter school applications year-round and may not refuse applications submitted during the calendar year, with a 90-day review period required for approval or denial

Charter school facilities housed in libraries, museums, performing arts facilities, churches, and educational institutions are exempt from ad valorem taxes and cannot be subject to local building requirements more stringent than the State Requirements for Educational Facilities

High-performing charter schools may submit two applications per year to establish new schools in any school district, with subsequent applications allowed once previous applications commence operations or are withdrawn

Administrative fees for exceptional student education centers serving 75% or more exceptional students must be calculated based on unweighted (rather than weighted) full-time equivalent students, capped at 2% for the first 250 students

Virtual charter schools may now provide part-time virtual instruction in addition to full-time instruction and may contract with public or charter schools to provide courses they cannot otherwise offer
