Names, addresses, telephone numbers, and other identifying information of persons in the Camo Alert Voluntary Registry are made confidential and exempt from public records requirements under s. 119.07(1) and the State Constitution

The exemption applies to both current and former registry participants and is not waived when a Camo Alert is issued

At-risk veterans or their legal guardians may request removal and expungement of registration information within 30 days of written request

The exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will be automatically repealed on October 2, 2025, unless renewed by the Legislature

The bill takes effect contingent on HB 1051 (which creates the Camo Alert system) being adopted in the same legislative session
