Board of supervisors members will be elected by qualified electors of the district rather than by landowners, with the first such election held during the November 2024 general election

Three board seats will be elected at-large within the district, with seats 1 and 2 receiving 4-year terms and seat 3 receiving a 2-year term at the initial election; all subsequent terms will be 4 years

Candidates must be electors and residents of the district, pay a filing fee of 3% of annual salary (or 1% election assessment), or submit a petition signed by at least 1% of qualified electors

Removes previous requirements that board members be landowners within the district and that a majority be Broward County residents

Current board members serving as of October 1, 2023 will continue until certification of November 2024 general election results
