Individuals holding valid local licenses for noncontractor work (such as painting, flooring, fencing, drywall, landscaping, hurricane shutters, and similar trades) may work in any Florida county or municipality without obtaining additional local licenses, exams, or fees

Local governments retain disciplinary authority over licensees working in their jurisdiction and must forward any disciplinary orders to the licensee's original licensing jurisdiction for further action

Licensees must provide consumers with information to verify their license status through the state's online system

Department of Business and Professional Regulation must create and maintain an online local licensing information system for public verification of license status

Local governments must provide licensee information (name, business name, address, license number, and status) to the department at least monthly; effective date October 1, 2020
