Individuals designated to request organ donations must clearly explain hospital protocols and federal/state regulations to patients and living organ donors

The Organ and Tissue Procurement and Transplantation Advisory Board must submit recommendations to the agency by September 1, 2021, addressing topics including patient-coordinator communication frequency, facility monitoring and reporting, coordinated communication systems between facilities, and best practices for transplantation outcomes
